Back in Mito

Check-out was at 10 a.m., so I was up around 9:30 to hit the pretty ropey shared showers in the basement of the building. I didn’t hang around for long and was soon on my way back to where I’d left the car in Mito.
The train took around two hours again, and today I wanted to head south to the Chiba Peninsula to get some surfing in. The drive was another couple of hours down the coast road, which runs through dunes and wind turbines all the way to Tokyo Bay. I wasn’t going all the way to the Tokyo Bay end of the peninsula, so I stopped off in Asahi, in Shiinauchi, just as it was getting dark. I parked up in a beach car park for the night and cooked some spaghetti before getting into bed.
The plan for tomorrow is to surf (hopefully), or have a chilled day on the beach, as the sun is supposed to be shining.
Quite a windy part of the country so lots of turbines around
