Rain Interrupts Play

Managed not to take any photos today by accident!
It was raining all day, so I didn’t end up doing much in the morning. In the afternoon, I headed up into the hills behind Hebara Beach to visit a shrine and use the onsen there. It was a bit of a rip-off at ¥1,200, but it did have a steam room and some sort of mineral bath with brown water that’s supposedly really good for your skin – something local to that area, I think. All the signs describing each pool in the onsen are always in old-fashioned, kanji-heavy Japanese with no katakana or English, and without a phone I often have no idea what I’m actually bathing in.
I headed back down towards the coast and parked up for the evening, making instant ramen for dinner.
