Ramen Setto

Woke up with a bit of a headache this morning after all the bass talk into the small hours yesterday. I’d ended up sleeping in town, in a pretty average car park behind a Seven Eleven — a far cry from the Lake Biwa views of the day before.
I set off in search of a spicy miso ramen to make me feel a bit more human and came across a good-looking spot on the road east of Lake Biwa. I knew they sold ramen, as that part of the sign was in the easier-to-read katakana, but the actual name of the place was in stylised kanji, so I had no chance. I ordered the kara miso, gyoza and gohan set menu — one of the best I’ve had. The broth was spicy, the pork soft and thinly sliced, and the gyoza homemade. What more could you want?
I headed a bit further up the coast and read my book in the sunshine for a couple of hours before jumping back in the car for an early night. Heading back into Osaka tomorrow to meet Juri — a friend from Niseko — and go to a comedy night!
